The first game of the season for the Bolton Boys Junior Varsity Basketball Team went well for the Eagles. Offensively, they were able to move the ball around, and scoring was no problem as they almost reached 50 points. Defensively, however, the boys somewhat struggled. Boxing out was a huge issue on that Saturday afternoon. The Eagles were not undersized; they just did not box out and play tough defence. Man defence was not working at all, so they switched to a 2-3 zone, which was more effective. In the third quarter, the team brought out a 1-2-1-1 full court press which put out a lot of pressure that the Chazy guards could not handle. Cody Kober had a strong second half with 12 points, and hit some key freethrows in the final minutes of the 4th quarter. Freshman Guard Ben Gaddy was consistant shooting the basketball as he also chipped in with 10 points. Robbie Chapman picked up some valuable rebounds at the end and finished with 4 points. Matt Cleavland also chipped in with 2 points as well as sophomore Tim Ryder. Luke Shane scored 22 points in the contest, as the Bolton Eagles outlasted the Chazy Eagles on November 26, 2005.
