As the Bolton Boys JV Basketball Team was entering their second of five consecutive home games against Willsboro, they were extremely confident. The Eagles roughed up Willsboro in the last meeting, and with their winning streak, felt that they had the skill and intensity to win the game. The game started with a quick pace as Bolton led 16-2 at halftime. The full-court press was working extremely well as Willsboro could not handle the pressure. Sophomore guard Luke Shane picked up many easy steals which led to fast break oppurtunities and points as well. Shane finished with 8 points in the first half and 12 throughout the game. Junior center Matt Cleavland was a huge help defensively as he shut down the big man of Willsboro, who was quite larger then Cleavland. He did a fantastic job denying the ball from Willsboro's big man and made him frustrated early, late, and often. Bolton went to halftime with a 20 point lead, which was somewhat of back luck for the Eagles. Bolton played with a lot of intensity during the first and second quarters. However, they did not play as hard in the second half as they did in the first half. Cody Kober led the Eagles with 13 points and he was also 3-4 from the free-throw line as Bolton prevailed over Willsboro, 47-32 at Bolton Central School.
