The Bolton Boys JV Basketball Team has been on a hot streak of late, winning 3 in a row and looking for revenge after they lost to Wells earlier in the season. In the previous matchup between the two rivals, Bolton came out to a hot start, but faded quickly and dramatically as they lost total control of the game and lost by 3. Bolton knew that high intensity was needed so they were surely ready to face Wells. Bolton started out on a 10-1 run in the beginning of the first quarter as the full court press of the Eagles worked to perfection. Then, Wells went on their own run as they went on a 6-0 run to bring their defecit down to 3. Bolton was having a tough time entering the ball in bounds and after they did get the ball in bounds, the guards were stranded and double-teamed. Bolton did not control the pace of the game, which made it tough for them to calm down and run offensive sets. The game was extremely hectic, or "Animal Ball" as coach Mr. Andrejkovics put it. Bolton led at halftime with the score being 17-10 in Bolton's favor. The second half was more of the same for Bolton. It was "Animal Ball"; an extremely fast paced game with no offensive sets being called whatsoever. When Bolton did call offensive sets, they scored atleast 90% of the time. Bolton played extremely hard, which enabled them to pull out for the victory. The Sophomore duo of Cody Kober and Luke Shane combined for 28 of Bolton's 42 points, or 67% of the teams total offense. Freshman forward Robbie Chapman also chipped in with 2 points and key rebounds. Freshman guard Ben Gaddy had 3 points in the contest, with all 3 of them coming from the free-throw line. Junior forward Dan Sherman with his amazing speed was able to pick up key steals. Freshman forward DJ Dimauro also helped the rebounding cause as the Bolton Eagles edged out the Wells Indians, 42-37 at Bolton Central School on February 7, 2006.
