The first game of the Granville Holiday Tournament went quite well for the Bolton Eagles. Hadley was one of the few teams that Bolton was not smaller than, so they were able to pick up a lot more offensive rebounds. Hadley's guards could not handle the full court pressure of guards Ben Gaddy, Cody Kober, and Luke Shane. The guards executed exceptional traps and forced Hadley to throw bad passes that were usually picked off by the man in the center, Dan Sherman or the weak-side guard. Bolton was also a great deal faster than Hadley, so they used the fast break many times. However, Hadley kept it close with a few key three-pointers and by careless boxing out of the Eagles. At the end, Bolton started to box out as they pulled away with the lead late in the fourth quarter. Luke Shane led the Bolton Eagles with 28 points (12 in the 4th quarter) to lead the Eagles. Kober kept the team together late and hit some key free-throws down the stretch to keep their lead safe. Ben Gaddy was a huge help when Hadley started to press. He was able to get the ball down the floor and to open Eagles for easy layups. His vision of the floor was extremely helpful throughout the game. Robbie Chapman pulled down a lot of rebounds and chipped in with 4 points, all of them coming in the second half as the Bolton Eagles held off Hadley-Luzerne, 47-42 in Granville.
