On January 4, 2006, the Bolton Eagles boys Junior Varsity Basketball Team traveled to face Willsboro. This was the first game of a 3 game, 3 day road trip, so a win was surely needed. In the first quarter, Bolton was sluggish for the first 4 minutes. Their defence was less then stellar, and they had a tough time putting the ball in the net. However, when Bolton put in their full-court press, things dramatically changed. Willsboro could not handle the pressure of Bolton's excellent full court pressure. Bolton also was extremely undersized in this game, so they had a tough time on the boards, but they still out-rebounded Willsboro by a decent-sized margin. The boys showed a lot of heart and aggression against Willsboro as they boxed out and took it to the rim with precision. Cody Kober had 8 of his 10 points in the first quarter to help jump-start the Eagles. His other 2 points came midway through the 2nd quarter. Matt Cleavland and Dan Sherman were the big rebounders, as they took Willsboro's big men into the game, and got them in foul trouble. Ben Gaddy dismantled the defense with ease. Fernando Echeverria chipped in with 4 points in the 4th quarter. Luke Shane also helped with 11 points, with 10 of them coming in the 2nd half as the Bolton Eagles routed Willsboro, 39-21.
